New stores are opening this week in the second phase of Medford’s Northgate Marketplace.
Among them — Dick’s Sporting Goods and Field & Stream.
Both are just two of the stores opening in the development.
The sports combo store is kicking off its grand opening this weekend.
Dick’s Sporting Goods is just one of the anchor stores in the development.
The company’s marketing specialist says coming to Medford was a no-brainer.
“We’re really looking forward to servicing Medford and the surrounding communities. It’s a vibrant fishing and hunting community on the Field & Stream side,” Bill Gasior said.
After several months of construction, all businesses are now in the hiring process.
Field & Stream alone has nearly 80 positions to fill.
According to the developers, two more phases of construction are planned.
There’s no word when work will begin on those.
