Oregon Dept. of Education releases school ‘report cards’

1013-oregon-department-of-educationSalem, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Education released report cards for the state’s schools and school districts.

ODE said the report cards were created to better inform educators on student performance and outcomes, as well as demographics and education programs.

According to ODE, they’re trying to redesign its process to better understand school success. “The Oregon Department of Education is working to ensure that Oregon’s school and district report cards are redesigned to provide families and communities with more comprehensive measures of school quality, enhancing academic data with non-academic indicators like school climate and equity,” Deputy Superintendent Salam Noor said.
