Ashland, Ore. — Oregon Shakespeare Festival is hosting its annual Hip Hop Open Mic Nights starting next week at the Black Swan Theater.
Southern Oregon University’s performance poetry team will be the first featured artist on Monday March 7th.
“Doors open at 6:30 and there’s a sign up sheet where anybody can sign up to perform and then I’m the emcee. I call you up — not in the order that’s on the sheet — and the performance goes from there,” explained OSF Community Producer Claudia Alick.
The events are free and open to the public. The next open mics are on April 4th and May 9th.
