Public invited to Cascade-Siskiyou Nat’l Monument meeting

1026-cascade-sikiyou-national-monumentMedford, Ore. — If you have an opinion on the expansion of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, now’s your chance to voice your views.

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing Thursday.

The commissioners are looking to send input from the community back to Washington, D.C. regarding the proposed expansion.

Klamath County will also take public comment on the proposal next Tuesday.

The Jackson County hearing will take place on Thursday, October 27th at 6:00 p.m. at the North Medford High School Commons.

The Klamath County meeting will be held at the Government Center hearing room (#219) at 305 Main Street in Klamath Falls. That hearing will take place on Tuesday, November 1st at 6:00 p.m.
