Rash of car break-ins in Central Point

Central Point, Ore., — Central Point Police say 36 cars have been broken into recently.

Police say not all of those break-ins have resulted in things being stolen from the cars, but certain neighborhoods are being targeted.

Officers say cars between Van Horn Park and Forest Glen Park have been hit a lot recently, and that’s making residents in the area uneasy.

“Well you always think about it happening in another neighborhood, but when you hear it happens in your neighborhood you start getting concerned, especially when it’s across the street.” said one resident, Victor De La Vega.

Central Point Police say Jayme Hurd, Ethan Sartin, Kenneth Sikes and Lucas Gilbreath are all persons of interest in connection to the recent break-ins.

If you have any information on their whereabouts you are asked to give them a call.
