Klamath Falls, Ore. – Former Klamath County Commissioner Jim Bellet is in a Massachusetts hospital, following what Bellet called a ‘hard landing’ Tuesday.
Bellet was flying a homebuilt Vans RV8 aircraft.
He and his wife Sherry were injured when the nose gear collapsed upon landing.
Bellet told NBC5 Thursday morning that his wife suffered a broken ankle.
Bellet was being prepared for back surgery.
