Republicans line up against Trump

NC_campaignam0809_1500x845(NBC News) — A new round of Republicans are rejecting Donald Trump this week, with Republican Senator Susan Collins writing in a Tuesday Washington Post op-ed that he lacks the “temperament, self-discipline and judgment” to be president and shows “a complete disregard for common decency.”

This comes after 50 Republican national security experts say they won’t vote for Trump because he would be “the most reckless president in American history.”

“This is a movement that’s been swimming upstream against an avalanche of negative media,” VP Nominee Mike Pence says.

A Monmouth University national poll now puts Trump 13 points behind Hillary Clinton.

Clinton is also facing a new wrongful death lawsuit by the parents of two Americans who died in Benghazi. They accuse her of defamation and mishandling classified information that led terrorists to the location.

The Clinton campaign points out nine investigations have cleared her.
