Riverside Park to see new additions this summer

Grants Pass, Ore. — Riverside Park in Grants Pass may see some changes this summer. The city planning department said they’re planning on adding a spray park, a venue for Boatnik, and a community center.

The proposed structure will be approximately 3,600 square feet. The city said it hopes the enhancements will serve various activities and community events.

“We’re still going to be focusing on the design to make sure that there’s elements that the active club is looking for. There’s a lot of community groups that’s going to be interested in this – and potentially concerts in the park can work in that location too,” said Lora Glover, Planning Parks & Community Development for the City of Grants Pass.

The city said the project will use resources from its general fund and a state lottery grant to pay for the project.
