Jacksonville, Ore.- The father of a runner found after two days in the woods says his daughter is doing well.
Dr. Ashley Laird went missing Friday morning after leaving her Jacksonville home to go for a run. Hundreds of volunteers, as well as formal search and rescue crews, looked for Laird over the weekend. She was found standing near the entrance of Forest Park Sunday evening.
Laird’s father, Bruce, was there when she was found. He says it’s obvious his daughter suffered a “bad fall,” but couldn’t release any information beyond that. KOBI spoke with him Monday morning. He says his daughter will undergo more tests and will likely be in the hospital until Tuesday.
