Santa stolen from Grants Pass home

Grants Pass, Ore. – Shock, anger, and determination were the layered emotions of Grants Pass resident Nicole Juergensen after realizing her life-size Santa had been stolen off her porch Wednesday night.

“It’s very tall, big, and lifelike. He sings, dances, and you can plug a microphone into him,” Juergensen said.

Passed down from her parents and in the family for 13 years, Juergensen says that particular Santa was very special to them.

So, she took to Facebook, hoping to have him returned, and to warn her fellow neighbors of the ‘Santa Thief’.

“Best case scenario, someone really needed a Santa Claus to decorate their home for Christmas,” Juergensen said.

But Juergensen is afraid someone plans to profit from it.

She’s contacted the local pawn shops to warn them of the unique item.

And in the meantime, her parents brought over an even bigger Santa, so her kids wouldn’t be sad.

“The new Santa is staked down and tied up and you know you’d really have to go out of your way to steal him. So hopefully this one will stick around,” Juergensen said.

If you happen to find life-size Santa, you can contact the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
