School bus involved in accident on I-5

Medford, Ore. – Oregon State Police responded to an accident Thursday morning involving a school bus on I-5.

Troopers say two school buses were driving one in front of the other northbound on I-5 at around 7:20 in the morning. A black sedan passed one of the buses, quickly changed lanes, ending up in between the two buses. Officers say the sedan subsequently rear-ended the lead bus, ending up stuck under the rear of the vehicle for nearly half a mile.

Police say there were no children on the school bus at the time of the accident.

According to OSP, the driver and passenger of the sedan were transported to RVMC with unknown injuries. Their identities have not been released. No alcohol or drugs were said to be involved.
