Sex trafficking exhibit on display at Rogue Valley Mall

rebecc bender sex traffickingMedford, Ore. — A powerful display that’s made the rounds in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, and New York City is debuting in Medford. From now until January 31, the “More than a Survivor” traveling photo exhibit will be open to the public at the Rogue Valley Mall. The display features 22 American women who are survivors of sex trafficking.

“Trafficking sounds like this foreign country or that its a kidnapping situation,” Caleb LaPlante of the Greater Grants Pass Rotary says,  “but very often, most often actually, 90% of the time it has nothing to do with either 2 of those things. It’s sexual abuse with an intent to make a profit by a third party.”

There will be two opportunities to meet Rebecca Bender who is a rogue valley resident and sex trafficking survivor. For details on her visits or for more information on the display, click HERE.
