Anti LNG pipeline rally held in Medford

MEDFORD, Ore. —Dozens of people were in Medford Thursday rallying against permits for the LNG pipeline.

The gathering comes just days before a public comment deadline for the Jordan Cove LNG terminal and Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline.

More than 25,000 comments have been submitted so far.

Oregon DEQ is responsible for deciding whether the project would comply with state water quality standards.

The Canadian corporation, Pembina, can’t move the project forward without the state permit.
