Two former U of O Ducks Basketball players suing university

0316 u of o lawsuitLane County, Ore. — Just before the Oregon Ducks compete as a one seed in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, two former players are suing the school.

According to the lawsuit, former basketball players Dominic Artis and Damyean Dotson are suing the University of Oregon for $10 million each after being dismissed in May of 2014.

The men were accused, but never charged, of raping a fellow student at an off-campus party.

The Register-Guard reports the suit accuses U of O officials of creating a “sham court” following the rape allegations.

The lawsuit comes after another player, Brandon Austin, named in the alleged rape report, filed his own $7.5 million suit against the school.
