Two men stranded by high water in Roseburg

Roseburg, Ore. – Police in Roseburg helped rescue two homeless men who became stranded due to rising water.

Oregon State Police said Thursday morning that troopers responded along with the Douglas County deputies and emergency responders to Gaddis Park, which is located alongside the South Umpqua River.

The two homeless men became stranded in their camp after heavy rains in the area caused localized flooding.

Troopers said they were able to rescue the two men, who were cold but apparently uninjured.
