49ers fullback Bruce Miller cut after assault allegations

0905 Bruce MillerSan Francisco, Calif. — San Francisco police sources said 49ers fullback Bruce Miller attempted to check into a local hotel on Sunday night, but was turned away because there were no vacancy.

The 29-year-old returned Monday morning, knocked on the door of a hotel room, and was informed by a male guest inside that he had the wrong room.

Miller then allegedly attacked the man who answered the door, as well as the man’s 70-year-old father, who was also in the room.  The father reportedly suffered broken bones in the altercation and both victims were taken to a local hospital.

The charges against miller include battery and assault with a deadly weapon.

It’s Miller’s second brush with the law this year. He allegedly shoved his fiance’s face into the ground during an argument and broke her phone in March.

He was arrested for spousal battery and the charges were later reduced to misdemeanor vandalism.
