Pendleton, Ore. — Crews are making good progress fighting a fire in northeastern Oregon.
Cool and calm weather Sunday night allowed firefighters to strengthen the containment line on the 500 acre Weigh Station Fire southeast of Pendleton.
Crews will work Monday to mop up hotspots. I-84 is open to travelers, although the Oregon Department of Forestry is asking drivers to be cautious.
As of Monday afternoon, the fire was 35% contained.
