Williams Elementary School may close

Williams, Ore., — Williams Elementary School may be closing its doors.

The Three Rivers School District is holding a community meeting tonight to discuss the possibility.

Right now the school has about sixty kids enrolled.

“It’s not always just about a number, and it’s now always just about money. It’s about serving our community and our students.” said Superintendent, David Valenzuela.

The purpose of the meeting is to decide what the community wants before making a decision in March.

If closed, the district would bus the students to Applegate Elementary School.
