Woman drives stolen vehicle to police facility

Medford, Ore. – Police arrested a woman after she drove a stolen car to a Medford Police evidence building with methamphetamine in the vehicle.

MPD said 37-year-old Jill Schermett drove to the evidence building to pick up an item that police found for her.

Officers were surprised when she showed up in a Subaru Legacy that was reported stolen on Saturday.

After Schermett’s arrest, police found meth inside the vehicle.

On a Facebook post about the arrest, police added, “Next time lets just meet right at the jail.”
