Update (9:50 a.m. 8/28)The Klamath Falls Sheriff Deputy that was shot yesterday has been identified as 40 year old Jason Weber.

The Major Crime team located the vehicle between North Klamath and Rocky Point.
Update (8:40 a.m.8/28)– The Crime Team also arrested Karey Leigh Pascoe in connection with the shooting and is charged with conspiracy to commit Attempted Aggravated Murder with a Firearm, Aggravated Murder, and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm.
Deputy Jason Weber was named as the victim of the shooting. Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah said that Deputy Weber has been a Deputy Sheriff for seven years. He is with his family as Oregon Health Sciences University and is in serious but stable condition.
The Crime team us still trying to locate the vehicle associated with the shooting.
Update (7:50 a.m.8/28)– The Klamath County Major Crime Unit announced Thursday morning that they’ve arrested William Parkerson on charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder with a Firearm and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm.
They are still trying to located the vehicle associated with the shooting.
Updated (8/27 5pm)The Major Crime team has identified a suspect as William Jack Parkerson, age 30. Parkerson is a white male, approximately 5’11” and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He is bald and has a chest tattoo that reads “Norte’ and an abdomen tattoo that reads “Under no Law/United Nortenos Locos.”
Parkerson is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators are looking for a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Oregon vehicle license plate number: ZFQ 270.

Today is a sad day, a dedicated Sheriff’s Deputy was shot in the face and side during a vehicle stop. Fortunately, he is stable at this time and has been transported to Oregon Health Sciences University. Updated (8/27 2:30pm) Officials have confirmed that the injured officer is in critical condition and is being flown to Portland.
Klamath Falls, Ore. –Witnesses says two shots heard today resulting in possible shooting of Klamath Falls officer in the face. NBC2’s Lyle Ahrens says the shooting took place in a suburban area of town about 11:30am.
Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge has confirmed that a Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was shot in the face and side while conducting a traffic stop on Bisbee Street on Wednesday.
The deputy has been transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous. The suspect is believed to be driving a black 1989 Jeep Cherokee Oregon license plate ZFQ 270. Please do not approach the vehicle.
