14-year-old charged as an adult in criminally negligent homicide

SILVER LAKE, Ore. – A Lake County teen is being charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old classmate.

14-year-old Silver Lake boy Zac Miller is being charged as an adult with criminally negligent homicide.

Miller is accused of shooting Cody Worden in the chest at a home on Bowens Lane on June 7th.

Both teens were students at North Lake High School.

Information in the case was presented to a Lake County Grand Jury who chose to indict Miller on the charges.

NBC5 News chose to name the juvenile in this case because he is being charged as an adult.
