More than 100 officers from various agencies are there, including several from the Medford Police Department, and the Jackson and Josephine County Sheriff’s Offices. The FBI is also on scene and have units from across the state assisting.
In addition, Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge tells NBC5 that district attorney’s from around the state have sent some of their victim services staff to Roseburg. We’re told these individuals are specifically trained to help the victims and their families deal with this tragedy. Patridge says staff are being paired with detectives to notify families. We will continue to update you with more information as we get it.
Executive Producer Kristin Hosfelt anchors NBC5 News weeknights at 5 and 6. Originally from the Bay Area, Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from San Jose State University.
She came to KOBI-TV/NBC5 from Bangor, Maine where she was the evening news anchor. Kristin has won multiple journalism awards including Best Feature Reporting in the State of Maine.
