Agencies statewide head to Roseburg to assist

shooting hugs Roseburg, Ore. — Law enforcement from across the state are assisting police in Roseburg, following a deadly shooting at Douglas County’s only school of higher education.

More than 100 officers from various agencies are there, including several from the Medford Police Department, and the Jackson and Josephine County Sheriff’s Offices. The FBI is also on scene and have units from across the state assisting.

In addition, Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge tells NBC5 that district attorney’s from around the state have sent some of their victim services staff to Roseburg. We’re told these individuals are specifically trained to help the victims and their families deal with this tragedy. Patridge says staff are being paired with detectives to notify families.
