Armored pursuit: soldier steals APC

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Virginia State Police stopped a stolen armored personnel carrier (APC) that traveled through the city of Richmond Tuesday night.

The vehicle stopped around 9:40 p.m. The adult male driver, who police say is a military soldier, then surrendered.

The vehicle was stolen from Ft. Pickett around 7:50 p.m. Police say the vehicle is not a “tank” and is not equipped with any weapons.
