Bernie Sanders rally in Portland receives unexpected visitor

Portland, Ore. — This was Senator Bernie Sanders’ second visit to Portland during the campaign season. Sanders marveled at the crowd, saying that it looked like they were ready for a “political revolution.”

He especially got a kick out of an unexpected visitor during his rally, a bird landed on his podium and interrupted his speech, and with the crowd erupting in cheers, he said it could be a symbol.

Sanders also took the opportunity to throw in a jab at republican front-runner Donald trump. He said, “I know it doesn’t look like it, but that bird is really a dove asking us for world peace. No more wars.”

Sanders will head to Seattle for an evening rally ahead of Democratic caucuses in Washington State on Saturday.
