Charles Manson temporarily out of prison, transferred to hospital

Bakersfield, Calif. – Charles Manson was transported out of Corcoran State Prison in Bakersfield, California and taken to a nearby hospital, according to TMZ.

The Los Angeles Times reports Manson is seriously ill.

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation officials said they could not comment on inmate movement for safety and security reasons.

Manson is currently serving 9 life sentences for conspiracy to commit murder.
