(NBC News) The U.S. Supreme Court has heard a challenge to President Obama’s executive orders on immigration.
Texas and more than two dozen other states say the president overstepped his bounds by shielding four million undocumented immigrants from deportation.
Critics say President Obama did something only Congress can do: Change the law. The Obama administration argues the president is simply reallocating resources, choosing to go after violent criminals, not children brought here illegally or undocumented parents of children born here.
