bastards y diablosAshland, Ore. — One of the independent films with Rogue Valley ties took home top honors at the Ashland Independent Film Festival this weekend. NBC5 News gave you a sneak peek of Bastards y Diablos last week.

The film swept both the jury and the audience categories for “Best Feature Film”.

Bastards y Diablos follows the story of two estranged brothers who are brought together by the death of their father. It was shot over 35 days in 9 Colombian cities, with a budget of only $25,000.

Ashland was the movie’s fourth film festival showcase, and they’re not done yet.

“Next step will be the East Coast, going to New York,” Executive Producer and leading actor, Dillon Porter says, “and then going back to Colombia to show it there in Medellin one of the cities that we filmed in.”

Porter graduated from South Medford High School, and is now living in Los Angeles.
