Firefighter injured in northern California

Montague, Calif. – A firefighter received minor injuries while battling a vegetation fire near a northern California elementary school.

According to CAL FIRE, approximately 56 acres near Bogus Elementary School was burned.

A firefighter was treated at the hospital for minor injuries sustained during the fire. CAL FIRE did not specify the nature or cause of the injuries.

The fire is in the “mop up” stage and is around 60% contained as of 11:00 Monday morning.
