Portland, Ore. – The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said man who was shot while he was attempting to break into a Portland home is a former NFL player.
Portland NBC affiliate KGW reported 33-year-old Stanley Wilson II played cornerback for the Detroit Lions in 2008.
Deputies found Wilson naked in a backyard water fountain of a Southeast Portland home shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to deputies, Wilson was shot by the homeowner while he was trying to enter the property. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
