Home invasion robbery suspect arrested

0616 Robbie CruseCave Junction, Ore. –Police have arrested a Grants Pass man who was allegedly involved in a violent home invasion robbery in April.

According to Oregon State Police, 32-year-old Robbie Shane Cruse was arrested Wednesday on charges stemming from an April 19th home invasion robbery in the 8000 block of Holland Loop Road in Cave Junction.

Police say Cruse and up to four other suspects pistol whipped and shot a man after breaking into his home.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital on April 20th.

OSP said while troopers were at the scene of the home invasion robbery, Asante Three Rivers Hospital in Grants Pass reported that an unidentified man had been transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Troopers said an investigation revealed the unidentified man to be 32-year-old Linzin Rooni Eshalom. He was set to be discharged on April 25th prior to a medical procedure, but self-discharged from the hospital before the procedure was performed.  He was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona on April 26th in connection with the home invasion robbery.

Police said Cruse is currently lodged in the Josephine County Jail on numerous charges, including two counts of attempted murder, assault, robbery, and burglary.
