Homeless tunnels discovered in Albany park

Albany, Ore. (KGW) — Oregon police have made an unusual discovery this summer– a network of tunnels and caves dug into the ground at a park.
They aren’t certain who built the dwellings but they believe it was the work of transients or homeless people.

Since the discovery, police have found a few people sleeping there including a known felon with multiple drug warrants out for his arrest.

The city is working on repairing the damage and filling in the caves.
