Jackson County Libraries welcome new head librarian

Medford, Ore — Jackson County Library Services introduced their new library director at a board meeting Thursday morning.

Jamar Rahming came to the Rogue Valley after a decade of experience as a branch manager with the Austin, Texas library system.

The county’s new head librarian said he’s delighted to be in the area and he plans on making meaningful changes to the library system that will benefit the community as a whole.

Jackson County Library Services operates over a dozen branches throughout Jackson County.
