Klamath Falls Air Force vet painting big U.S. flag

Klamath Falls, Ore. – A retired Air Force vet is working on a big project to say ‘”thanks” to crews from Kingsley Field.

Klamath Falls resident Michael Kiser is hand-painting an American flag on top of a 24 by 36-foot roof on a shed in his yard.

Kiser hopes F-15’s from the 173rd will notice. “I’m hoping when all’s said and done, the fighters, when they fly over will give me the old ‘waving of the wings’ as saluting the flag, because I believe in what they’re doing,” Kiser explained.

Kiser has spent about 2 months painting the flag.

He hopes to have the project completed by the fourth of July.

Kiser said Diamond Home Improvement has assisted with the project by giving him a discount on paint.
