Jackson County, Ore. – Jackson County Vector Control has announced they are planning to spray for mosquitoes in certain routes in the Rogue Valley early Friday morning.

According to the JCVC website, the routes include areas in North Medford, Central Point, and Eagle Point.

Vector control said that they will not be covering entire areas, just areas with service requests or high mosquito trap numbers. The spraying is scheduled to take place between the hours of 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Vector Control said that you can protect yourself from mosquito bites by using an EPA-registered insect repellent, and using screens on your home’s windows and doors. They also remind the public to check inside and outside of your home for any standing water where mosquitoes could lay eggs.
