Armed Security To Replace MPD At Medford International

After 7 years with the Medford Police Department, the Medford Airport has chosen its new security provider

RAMSSpecialized Security Services Inc. will take over for Medford Police in providing security at the airport, something officials say will save them over $150,000 dollars a year.

Police Chief Tim George assured us thatMPD will continue to respond to airport emergencies and to make arrests after security guards detain suspects.

The new armed guards will be stationed at screening check-in points throughout the airport.
