Car crashes into Phoenix home

Police say a driver in a stolen car led officers on a chase through Phoenix– that didn’t end until the vehicle crashed into a home.

“I guess he came this way and then crashed right there,” says Anna Parra, who lives at the house. She shows us the exterior damage, which may not seem too bad… “Ya right there,” but inside, Parra shows us where her living room wall is now caved in, after police say a felon in a stolen vehicle crashed into their home following a chase through town.

“One of our deputies saw

that vehicle…” comments Captain Monty Holloway with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.About 1:30 this morning, deputies spotted a stolen Medford car on North Phoenix and Fern Valley Road, “That vehicle was a 2007 Toyota,” says Holloway.

They attempted a traffic stop, but that’s when they say the driver hit the gas, “There were speeds that range from 40 and higher,” Holloway tells us.

Ultimately, crashing into this house on the corner of Rose and Oak streets in Phoenix. “Vehicle got out of control,” Holloway explains.

38 year old Daniel Fullmer was arrested. Turns out, he’s not only charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, but also felon in possession of a weapon. “We belief in this case it was a knife,” says Holloway. Also, possession of a controlled substance, meth. Holloway says they’re still investigating whether he was on the drugs at the time of the crash.

“I was scared and I was shaking. I was kind of frustrated,” says Parra. For her, last night’s crazy ride was a rude awakening, one she’s grateful didn’t end with anyone hurt.
