Armed suspect steals cash, car from Pit Stop Tavern

PIT STOP ROBBERY SUSPECTMedford, Ore. —  Medford police are searching for a man who they say robbed a business at gunpoint Sunday morning. Around 7 AM, officers were called to the Pit Stop Tavern in west Medford.

Employees reported a man walked in with a semi-automatic handgun and ordered everyone to get on the ground.

“We have a suspect that went in with a handgun, ordered people on the ground, took an undisclosed amount of cash, and then exited the business with a vehicle,” Corporal Josh Schilder said.

The man was able to get away in that car, which is reported to be one of the employee’s vehicles, before police arrived. Officers have since located the vehicle, and are currently searching for the suspect.

PIT STOP THREEThe suspect is described as wearing black face paint and a wig, standing about 5’7″ with a heavier build. He is described as having a Hispanic accent, and was armed with a handgun.
