Medford, Ore. –A lack of funds have forced the Metro Medford Downtown Association to cancel it’s Art and Sound Festival this year.
Last year was the first time for the event. A dozen venues throughout downtown Medford featured upcoming artists and bands..
But with the recent defeat of the Economic Improvement District, and the city’s decision not to fund Metro Medford, the organization is determining how to move forward.
The association said that this is a huge setback in their goal of establishing Medford as a cultural arts destination.
