Plastic bags may soon be banned in Ashland as the city council continues the proposal this evening.
According to supporters, over 500 citizens and 100 business have signed a petitionsupport of the ban.
If approved, Ashland would be the first town in Southern Oregon to ban the use of plastic bags. Tonight’smeeting is open to the public. It will betaking place in the Siskiyou room at 51 Winburn way at 5 pmtonight.
