The Ashland School District is sorting through applications– after receiving over 100 student transfer requests.
This all comes after the district adopted the new open-enrollment policy– the only district in the county to accept it.
Officials say the policy will help with the declining enrollment Ashland has been facing for the last 19 years.
No word on how many of those applicants will be accepted.
