Ashland’s Lithia Park gets a top honor

Ashland, Ore. — Ashland’s Lithia Park get’s a top honor. The 93 acre landmark has been named one of ten great public spaces in America by the American Planning Association.

The APA says it looks for “authentic characteristics and thoughtful evolution” of a place as part of the criteria for the program. During Wednesday’s announcement, Mayor John Stromberg praised Ashland’s quality of life.
