Car crashes into local business’ front doors

Central Point, Ore. — “Building drive thru lane closed” that’s what a sign said on a Central Point business after a truck plowed through the front doors earlier this morning, March 13th.

According to Central Point police, around 8am officers were called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a building. Police say the driver of a truck accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes, careening 150 feet into the front doors of a nearby business.

“It appears the driver was leaving the car wash which happens to be in line with the front of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.”

Police say no one was hurt in the crash, but the auto parts store was forced to close for some time, an investigation found the crash was accidental.
