Charges follow child’s overdose

Penn. — (WBRE) A Pennsylvania man has been charged with child endangerment after police say a 9-year-old boy died of an apparent drug overdose.

Investigators say 58-year-old Victor Hare knew Korbin Rager had a problem with drugs and alcohol and even thought he was acting strange Sunday evening when the boy was dropped off at his Point Township home.

Police say the boy was found unresponsive Monday morning.

Hare is charged with child endangerment.

He told police several dozen oxycontin pills went missing from his home and he knew Rager was using the drug along with alcohol and marijuana.
