U.S. Attorney, Amanda Marshall talks about Measure-91

Ore. — Oregons closest race next month could be Measure-91, the legalization of recreation marijuana.

While it would bring tax revenue to the state some worry it could allow easier access to kids. Oregon U.S. Attorney Amanda Marshall, in town for a Southern Oregon Meth Project Meeting, says if the measure passes it won’t affect her office.

We’ll still be going after drug cartels and violent gangs; we’ll still be going after other people who use marijuana to cover up other illegal activity. Well be taking a trust but verify approach with the state government.

If Measure-91 passes, tax revenue would be divided up among law enforcement, schools, and treatment programs for alcoholism and drug abuse.
