Chipotle issues “no gun” request

Chipotle is asking customers to check their firearms at the door. The Mexican food chain made the request after gun rights advocates brought military-style assault rifles into a Texas Chipotle restaurant last week.

Gun control group “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America” then began circulating a petition calling on Chipotle to ban guns in its restaurant.

The company’s “no guns” request doesn’t apply to members of law enforcement. An official statement says: “The display of firearms in our restaurants has created an environment that’s potentially intimidating or uncomfortable for many of our customers.”
