Ore. –Former Oregon first lady Cylvia Hayes has handed over thousands of her emails to the Marion County Circuit Court.
The emails were delivered on a thumb drive on Wednesday. That’s after a judge sided with the Oregonian in a records dispute two weeks ago.
Earlier in the year Hayes filed a lawsuit to block the release saying she wasn’t subject to the state’s open records law since she isn’t a public official.
The deadline for former Governor John Kitzhaber to notify the state of his intent to sue over the leak of his emails has passed without filing.
