Extension Programs Including 4-H Will Not Get Funded Next Year

Jackson County budget woes continue to cut deep, with county funding for the Oregon State University Extension Service being approved for funding cuts.

The extenseion program has been approved for over $200,000 in cuts.

Jackson County has already recommended cuts to everything from the county sheriff’s office to RVTV; the local public access television station.

Oother departments facing budget cuts this morning include the District Attorney’s office, Health & Human services, Development services and libraries.

The Oregon State University Extension program included 4-H, the Master Gardener Program, Small Woodland Forestry Program and others.
