Fires Bring Positive Growth to Some Businesses

Wildfires aren’t bringing all bad news to the community of Glendale.

Local businesses are seeing a spike in sales because of the more than 23-hundred temporary residents helping fight the nearby Douglas Complex fire.

The owner of the U-Turn Bistro says they’ve been super busy this past week.

“We’ve got dinners going out of here at 5:30 to some of the posts to give them hot meals, because they’re missing chances for hot meals at base camp.”

Many stores and restaurants are extending their hours or even offering discounts to those helping fight the blaze.
