On saturday morning police say 68-year old Virginia Horton was standing near her car off solider creek road in Grants Pass when she was shot.
Police say this man., 41-year-old cory maynard shot horton.
Investigators say the victim was parked on a dirt easement when a bullet struck her in the leg.
Maynard is behind bars in the josephine county jail. He’s being charged with assault in the second degree.
