Gresham, Ore. –A Gresham woman is safe after being kidnapped in her own home Saturday night.
Police say a Gresham couple forced their way into the 28-year-old victim’s home, where they handcuffed and assaulted her.
They say the victim escaped after the couple smoked marijuana and fell asleep. Police say the victim was romantically involved with the man, David Vasquez, but she was not aware he was involved with another woman.
Vasquez and Ruth Orozco-Rivera are charged with kidnapping, assault, and robbery, among other charges.
